Statement

In my recent work, my subjects and use of color reflect my own personal reckoning with the state of our world and the uncertainties of its future.

“Sentinel” is a conscious emulation of biblical imagery; chaotic energy and tension emits from a winged malevolent figure on the right and there is a clear struggle between two entities. In an age of a growing dichotomy between good and evil, truth and fiction, I intend my work to capture the contrast and also blur the lines between these forces.

For me art is a means of social commentary; an editorial on today’s societal struggles and existential crises. By combining elements of German Expressionism with contemporary tones, my work displays a return to the primal forces that define us.
